Gordon was born on November 8, 1967 in Portage Ia Prairie, MB.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on the water.
There will be a memorial service in the spring of 2018.
He never complained, & was a man who never rested, as he had ambition and some sort of project going on.His homestead on the lake was Hal’s pride & joy, & he never stopped working at it.May 4th, 1963 – November 15th 2017 With very heavy hearts we announce the sudden & unexpected passing of Hal, who succumbed to complications from bacterial meningitis. At a young age, Hal ventured off to Slave Lake, AB, in search of work, where he also found the love of his & future wife, Julie.Together they raised a beautiful, close-knit family.June 27, 1975 – December 4, 2017 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son Cory Womacks at the age of 42 years.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret, and stepfather, Ted Bouwmeester; his father Dennis (Monica) Womacks; sister, Rhianon (Randy) Scott; nieces Hannah, Isabella, Alissa, Abbi, and Sophia, and nephew, Jack; niece, Cassia (Joe) Davy and their son, Wyatt; stepbrother, Adam (Maxine) Bouwmeester and their children, Adian, Addison, and Logan; stepsister, Robin (Jeff) Holman and their children, Keaton, Libby, and Brenner; and grandparents, Peggy and Alvin Womacks.
We have been so blessed with the friends & family that have been here for us through this difficult time, and we would like to thank all of you for everything you’ve done & would be honored if you could come celebrate Hal’s life with us.
Hal will be greatly missed by many, but never forgotten.
He graduated from Roland Michener High School, winning several awards including the Governor General Medal.
Cory graduated from the University of Alberta in 1998 with distinct honours in his Bachelor of Science and Computers.
Even though Hal’s life came to an end too soon, & there was much life for him still to live, he passed with a lot of good memories, proud moments, & accomplishments.
